Flashback, Part II

For those of you that did not have the pleasure of seeing me while 40 weeks pregnant, here is a pic of me at work on my due date (the due date Emerson Keith clearly had no interest in...). As you can tell, I was thrilled to be there!!!

Flashback

I was going back through Emerson's sleep notes and found the following entry from February 16:

9:30...sleep
12:45 ...wake up
1:05...sleep
2:50...wake up
3:20...shit attack, sleep
5:18...wake up
6:00...sleep
8:00...wake up

I am happy to report he is transitioning well to his nursery and is doing much, MUCH better with a typical night consisting of one 5-6 hour stretch followed by a 2.5-3 hour stretch.

E rolling over!!!!

OK, I didn't think I had any part of Emerson rolling over today, and I really don't. HOWEVER, I did manage to capture part of our reaction after his first roll:

Monthly Check-In

Well, our little boy is THREE months old today!! Emerson celebrated by rolling over for the first (and second!) times this afternoon! Unfortunately, he refused to do it a third so that we could get it on film. We will definitely capture and post soon. In the meantime, here are his standard shots w/ Mr. Froggy.

Visit to ATL

Once we actually made it to Atlanta, we had a great time visiting with Paigey and her family, including little Austin who is exactly a month younger than Emerson. It was amazing to see the difference between the two boys and really appreciate how much E has grown in the past month.

Cabin Visit

We had such a good time visiting my friend, Andrea and her precious son, Garrison. Andrea's dad has a cabin in Mcminnville, TN that is in the most picturesque spot. We hiked (our stroller that has only seen sidewalks and malls to this point is now covered in mud!), dined al fresco, enjoyed Garrison playing in the dirt, and had a great time reconnecting.

Traumatized.

Well, I thought Emerson would be fine on a little road trip to see friends this weekend while Daddy worked. He most decidedly was not. There were several occasions in which we were both crying in the car. It will be awhile before we embark on another such adventure without additional backup.

That said, once we arrived at our destinations, we had a GREAT time visiting friends! We spent Friday at a cabin in middle TN with my friend Andrea and her son, Garrison. On Saturday, we embarked upon a 6 hour odyssey to Atlanta (initially, I thought the cabin would break up our trip to ATL, but that was not the case and we found ourselves on small backroads through rural Tennessee...beautiful, peaceful drive unless you have a hellcat in the backseat.). Once to Atlanta, we stayed with my dear friend Paige and wreaked havoc on her cute new townhouse. Unfortunately, there are very few pictures from this adventure; however, I will post what we have soon. Saturday was the only day since this child was born that I did not take a single photo. I think I wanted to pretend it didn't happen.

Spring is in the air!

Saturday was a very busy and exciting day in the Keith household. We
had 2 birthday parties to attend and a visit from grandmommy Keith.
This is Emerson from earlier in the day...spring fresh and ready to go!

Thanks to Aunt Janie for the seersucker - it was a huge hit! It's
hard to believe, it's a size 6 mos and fits him almost perfectly.

Starting the transition...

We are trying to transition daytime naps from the little lamb swing to
the crib. So far so good (fingers crossed). Next week, he moves from
our bedside to the nursery for nighttime sleep. Ahhh! He's growing
up so fast!

Easter Shoes!

These shoes just break my heart. They are so cute on our little boy.
Can't wait for him to wear this weekend!
